Here are some photos from Time Magazine’s annual Oscars portfolio, shot and directed by Sebastian Kim. The full set of photos are available here. Joel Stein also interviewed George Clooney, Michelle Williams, Viola Davis, as well as the other ten featured actors — yes, the very adorable Uggie also scored himself an interview — about their thoughts on the art of acting, all of which you can watch here. Love the photo spread! It’s so bloody flawless!
What’s inside my bag on a boring day. The contents are a lot different on bazaar days.
Since hearing the news of Kodak filing for bankruptcy, I have realized a couple of sad things. I feel like soon it’s not just Kodak that we’ll be saying goodbye to. How about those scented lined paper called ‘stationery’? Do people still buy them? Years ago, my college friends and I would still write little notes on them to pass around. As a kid, I was also a big stationery collector, swapping designs with my playmates. I don’t know if kids these days still do this. How about greeting cards? Is anyone still mailing them? It’s been years since I last saw someone holding one.
I’ve been hearing news of paper manufacturers going bankrupt because companies are turning to electronic forms so I guess it will be no news if one day I see the greeting card section in the bookstore gone. Come to think of it, I’m not even sure if there still is a stationery section in our bookstores. I can’t recall the last time I saw one.
So sad.
